About Us

Our Mission

We quantify climate and nature risk at asset level, enabling better decisions, regulatory compliance and long-term resilience through scalable environmental intelligence.

Why We Founded

Why We Founded

The financial consequences of climate change and nature depletion are no longer abstract; they are material, widespread, and growing. Yet decision makers still lack dependable, consistent, decision‑grade intelligence to act with confidence. Climate risk analysis has too often relied on coarse or proxy data, focused narrowly on flooding, and failed to assess risk at the level of individual assets, leaving a critical gap between climate understanding and practical decision‑making. Map Impact was founded to close that gap by delivering consistent, property‑level hazard data that integrates directly into risk frameworks, empowering organisations to advocate for action, manage risk, and build real‑world resilience.

What We Do

By combining leading Earth Observation science with significant financial services and real estate knowledge, we deliver regulation-ready climate and nature reporting products that are directly applicable to financial risk workflows and sustainable asset management strategies.

By taking a “landscape-first” approach, we deliver granular hazard reporting with transparent methodologies that stand up to scrutiny and allow confident decision making.

Why Map Impact

Map Impact combines Earth Observation science, proprietary environmental datasets and sector expertise to deliver asset-level climate and biodiversity intelligence at national scale. Our products help organisations assess risk, support regulatory disclosure and make better decisions across investment, lending, planning and asset management.

Proprietary Data Assets

We develop unique climate and biodiversity datasets that transform complex environmental processes into decision-ready intelligence. These datasets form the foundation of our products and create long-term value for customers.

Built for Scale

Our platform analyses millions of properties, land parcels and infrastructure assets using automated methodologies that deliver consistent results across entire portfolios and regions.

Trusted Decisions

Transparent methodologies, rigorous validation and science-led development provide confidence for governance, risk management and regulatory reporting.

Real-World Impact

Our products integrate directly into financial, planning and operational workflows, helping organisations move from reporting risk to managing resilience.

Trusted Partners and Customers

Map Impact works with local authorities, housing providers, financial institutions, technology partners and scientific organisations to deliver climate and biodiversity intelligence at scale. Our products support real-world decisions across planning, investment, asset management and regulatory compliance.

How We Build Our Products

50+

Years of combined experience in integrating spatial science into repeatable and objective reporting products.

Landscape-First Approach

Our landscape-first approach starts with the physical environment, not the asset. By analysing continuous landscapes at high spatial resolution, we capture how land cover, habitat, and regional climate patterns drive hazard formation. Locations are benchmarked against their ecological and regional context, avoiding distortions from administrative boundaries and enabling consistent, decision-grade comparisons across portfolios and geographies.

Earth Observation

We combine advanced Earth Observation data with ecological, hydrological, and meteorological inputs to capture the full set of drivers behind climate hazard. By integrating multiple satellite-derived indicators and applying rigorous preprocessing, we move beyond simple proxies to reflect real-world environmental processes. This produces stable, spatially consistent hazard insights at a level of detail suitable for asset-level and portfolio-scale analysis.

Science grade Accuracy

Science-grade accuracy underpins every aspect of our approach. Our models are grounded in peer-reviewed research, transparent methodologies, and rigorous validation processes. Through expert-informed design, quality assurance, and continuous testing, we deliver outputs that are scientifically defensible and regulator-aligned. This ensures our data remains robust, auditable, and reliable for use in climate risk frameworks and strategic decision-making.

Who We Are

Our globally recognised Earth Observation scientists build products grounded in the latest scientific research. Our Board brings deep expertise across technology, satellite, property, and financial services, with a proven track record of delivering market‑ready solutions that generate sustained, repeatable revenue.
